run or dye

Last September the Run or Dye 5K came to Abilene. Even though I knew I would be eight months pregnant, I was so excited about it and couldn't wait to participate. But once it came around I said "forget you" because I was way to sore to even walk a 5k. I was super bummed about having to miss it! So when I found out that Run or Dye was coming back to Abilene I was so excited! Dave and I did the 5K a few weeks ago and I'm so glad we did it!

 Our babysitters were late getting to our house which made us late to the race so we were in the very last group to run so we kind of just took our time signing in and shopping at their little store (holy run-on sentence!). We got our Swag Bag, our retarded huge shirts and runners number. Then we went and joined the "party!" It was so fun! Anyways we started running and literally about ten feet after the starting line one of the volunteers to throw color all over you threw color right in my face! I could not see a thing. I was laughing so hard I was crying and I had to stop and wipe it off just so I could see.  Anyways I think I was everyone's target to throw color at because I was covered from head to toe. Dave thought it was hilarious. I did too until it came time to drive home. My car looked like a bag of Skittles after I sat in it! We finished the race, got some pictures taken and partied some more. We had a blast and I'm so glad we went this time. And I love that Run or Dye was a fundraiser for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Club. We can't wait to do it again!
