New Years Eve/Day

New Years was spent in North Dakota surrounded by family. I love my in laws so much! We spent NYE having an indoor BBQ at my in laws friends house. We talked, played games and had the missionaries over with us. It was fun but I really wanted to just go home to my in laws house. Once we got back, we watched movies, played games and lit off a couple floating lanterns. It was FREEZING outside!! I mean in the negatives! So we lit off two and called it good. Mainly because I literally couldn't feel my fingers. I had to look at them just to make sure they were still there. SO cold!

The only picture we got!

The rest of the night we just hung out indoors where it was warm. Dave and I did go out for a drive trying to see the northern lights without success. One of these times while I'm in ND I will see those dang lights!! It may not sound like much but we had the best time.

ice castle fun

Last weekend my nephew got baptized up in northern Utah! I'm so proud of him. So, while we were up there I took the kids to the Midway Ice Castle and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! It was so much bigger than I imagined! Anna and Elsa were there but the line was stupid long so we just waved to them as we walked by. It was way too cold to stand in that long line, especially since us Texan's don't own warm clothing! We wandered around and snapped pictures, enjoying each others company and oohing and awing over everything we saw. There were so many people there so we didn't stay for long. Hello anxiety! As we were finding the exit a little girl ran past Presley knocking her over into the snow. Presley got so wet that she just started crying because obviously she was freezing! I felt so bad for her. Luckily we were already on our way out so we didn't miss anything. Thank you Christa for coming along and helping with my crazy kids! This Whole single parenting thing is still new to me.

After the castles we headed to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Presley flirted with a bus boy the whole time, we waited for over an hour to be seated but the food was well worth it! Again Christa, thanks for helping me with my crazy, impatient kids! They love you!

we moved!!!

I haven't really shared anything about this yet but last month Dave went off to combat training on the east coast. He'll be deploying in a couple months so while he's gone, the kids and I moved back to Utah to be with family. As much as I hate being away from Dave we've really enjoyed being back in sunny St George! Oh how I love seeing mountains every day! We've been here for just a couple weeks and we've been having the best time. My goal was to keep the kids, and myself busy and distracted from missing Dave. Utah has so much to offer that I really don't think that'll be a problem. In fact, I've already made up a list of 24 things I want to do while in Utah!! And those are just things I could think of off the top of my head. Ha, oops! This year will be full of hiking, sight seeing and fun events that take place all over Utah. Add the list of fun things we plan on doing outside of Utah and it's shaped up to be a heck of a busy year! Just what we need! Obviously I'd rather Dave be here to experience it all with us but I'll take what I can get. Now, if this deployment would hurry up and finish, that would be great!

Christmas 2015

We were lucky enough to spend Christmas and New Year up in North Dakota with my in laws and we had the best time ever! We had a beautiful white Christmas!! We decorated cookies, had a Star Wars marathon and even had a private showing of the new Star Wars, had a gift wrapping party, a Christmas dinner with over 20 people, and so many other fun things! It was a real busy couple of weeks but isn't that what makes the holidays fun? Because we did so much I'll break this down into two maybe even three posts. But for now, here's a glimpse at our Christmas! A lot of these were just taken off my instagram, so no judgments!

She just can't control her excitement that Santa's coming!

And there you have it! Our first week of Christmas vacation in a nutshell! Pt 2 coming up next!

Cornbelly's

While we were in Utah for my grandpa's funeral last October, we decided we needed a fun night our with friends. We took the kids to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point and had the best time! I don't get to see my best friend, since the 3rd grade, nearly as often as I'd like so I was really excited to meet up with her! The whole night was basically just chasing the kids around all night. It was freezing cold (for us Texan's anyways!) but we didn't really care that much because we were having too much fun! Kyson played soccer almost half the time we were there. Ha! He tried his hardest to make a goal and ended up only making a single goal. Poor kid! Thank you Christa and Thad for joining us!

Air Force Ball 2015

I'm so behind on my blogging that I have to scroll through all my pictures to remember what all we did last year. I can't remember off the top of my head! Sorry if things are out of order and all over the place but with packing, moving, selling the house, and unpacking I've been a little distracted. But now that I've settled into my new temporary home I have more time to play catch up! Hooray! So, last October Dave and I attended the Air Force Ball. They held it a few weeks late for who knows why. It's usually held on the AF's birthday. It was perfect weather for a ball, since it's always held in a giant hangar, so it's partly outside. I was obsessed with my dress and my shoes and my hair haha. It's become so much fun searching for the perfect dress every year. Although the pictures kind of suck because, phone's just don't have the best picture quality!

By the time we got around to eating, all the good food was already gone. So we ditched the last half of the ball and ate at Olive Garden instead. We got a lot of funny looks from people wondering why the heck we were so dressed up. But it was kind of fun going out on a date all fancied up! And seriously, have you ever had Olive Garden's donuts (can't remember what they're really called!) with raspberry sauce? To. Die. For. Dave always looks so handsome in his blues and I love being able to dance the night away with him. I look forward to the ball every year and I'm already looking forward to the next one :)
