3 ingredient Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Happy fall ya'll!!
I love fall and everything that comes with it, especially the baking! This is the easiest recipe you'll ever need. These cookies are so delicious and moist and way better than any other cookie out there. For real! We literally ate about half of them in one night and I'm not even sorry about it. What diet?

What you'll need
1 18.25 oz Box Spice Cake Mix
1 15 oz can of Pure Pumpkin Puree
3/4 cup Mini Chocolate Chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, combine spice cake mix and pumpkin puree, stir until well blended. Add chocolate chips, stir until all chips are incorporated.

On lightly greased cookie sheet, spoon cookie dough by rounded tablespoons about 2 inches apart. Bake in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in middle of cookie comes out clean.

Let cookies cool on cookie sheet for one minute before transferring to wire rack to cool.

If you would like larger cookies, try using an ice cream scoop and increase cooking time by about five minutes.

Air Force Ball

Dave and I were able to attend the Air Force Ball over the weekend. We had the best time! We knew about the ball a few months in advance so we had plenty of time to prepare. I found a dress that I love, got the perfect shoes (that I didn't even wear), and did my hair and make up perfectly! Nothing was going to ruin our last Air Force Ball! We left the kids with the baby sitters and we were out the door only to find that it was 100% humidity!! So much for my perfectly curled hair! I honestly didn't even care that much because I was so ready for a romantic night with my handsome man.
The ball was held in a brand new ginormous hanger right there on base. It was decorated so nice! There was a DJ, a live band, and the biggest dance floor I've ever seen! They served a full meal and loads of refreshments. There were three full sized bars and perfectly decorated tables everywhere. The hanger doors were open with a B-1 Bomber and a C-130 positioned as a backdrop. It really was set up so nicely!

We checked in, received our "coin" and made our way to our table where we met up with some friends. There was a presentation on the Doolittle Raid, a guest speaker and of course the POW MIA Ceremony. If you have never witnessed a POW MIA Ceremony I highly suggest you see one. It is so emotional and so spiritual! They give me goosebumps every single time! And then we hit the dance floor! Dave and I were able to slow dance to a live jazz band and shake it with the DJ, ha! We seriously had the best time. Dancing with my man is one of my favorite things to do. And the best part? He knows how to dance to everything! Unlike me, I'm a horrible dancer. We danced the night away and I'm really sad that we'll never be able to attend another ball again. But I'm happy that we left with amazing memories!

How to get a pee stain out of a mattress

As a mom of two, with hopefully another on the way soon, I've had my share of bed wetting. Four o'clock in the morning changing jammies and sheets are never any fun!! My five year old has never had any problems with wetting the bed. He potty trained really easy and never peed the bed. We don't even put plastic on his mattress! However, he's five. He still has the occasional accident. I'm talkin' maybe once a year he'll sleep too heavy and pee his bed. Not anything to be concerned about. Well, since school started back up his sleeping habits have changed. Drastically! During summer break he would stay up until about 10:00 PM and sleep until about 10:00 AM. The kid loves his sleep! He easily wakes up at night if he needs to relieve that tiny bladder of his up until about two weeks ago. Now that he's in school he goes to bed at about 8:00 and wakes up at 6:30. He's not used to waking up so early, going to a full day of school, coming home and playing hard and then crashing. And because he's so exhausted by the time he goes to bed, he's been sleeping very heavy which has caused him to pee his bed, twice!

So what did I do? Took it to google! Because that's my answer for everything!! Every website I looked at offered two solutions. One was to rub Borax on the stained mattress and one was to make a concoction and spray it on it. I obviously wasn't going to put Borax all over my son's mattress so I went with option number two! And you guys, it worked amazingly!

Here's what you need:

a measuring cup
tablespoon
funnel
spray bottle

8 ounces hydrogen peroxide 3%
3 tablespoons of baking soda
1 drop liquid hand dish soap

Directions:

Pour hydrogen peroxide into the spray bottle, add the baking soda and wait for it to dissolve. Then add the drop of dish soap. Swish the ingredients and start spraying that stained mattress! I'm not sure if you're supposed to but I used almost the entire concoction on the mattress. It said to be generous, ha! Anyways, the best part about it is there's NO scrubbing involved!! Simply spray and walk away! Scrubbing? Ain't nobody got time for that!

The mixture only works if you use it immediately, because the byproducts are active for only a short amount of time. You should see the stain start to lift and disappear in 5-10 minutes. But to be honest it took a few hours for it to completely disappear. Once the mattress dries, if the baking soda film remains just vacuum it up! Voila!!

Before
Don't worry, those brown spots are just chocolate milk stains, I promise! And the solution even removed most of those chocolate milk stains.

After

That'll do pig, that'll do.

Presley: 11 months

-Presley has started mirroring everything we do! If we open our mouth real wide, she;ll open her mouth wide. If we start clapping, so will she. If we laugh, so will she. Everything we do, she's doing to and it's the cutest thing!

-Presley eats a lot these days! For about a week she refused to chew any kind of food. If she had to chew it, she's take it out of her mouth, throw it then proceed to get mad. I posted that piece of info on Instagram then the next day she was back to eating normal! Take that mom!

-We are in the middle of weaning her from her binky and it's surprisingly going real well! She lost interest in her binky on her own so we took advantage! There are still times when she wants it but it's getting less and less often!

-Presley is a pro at walking along furniture now. I'm not sure when she'll actually be walking but I don't think it's too far away.

-She still wears 6-9 month clothes. She has a couple 12 month outfits and I just realized about a week ago that she has a couple 3 month sleepers and onsies that she still wears regularly.

-We babysat a dog for a few days a couple weeks ago and Presley loved that dog!! She would climb all over that poor dog but the dog really didn't seem to mind. I think she's already a dog lover!

-Presley gets really excited when she plays on my bed! No matter how mad she is if we put her our bed she instantly gets happy. She loves to flop around on it! I think she likes how soft and big it is and she definitely loves all the fluffy pillows. She'll throw her arms in the air and then belly flop over and over and over!

-She's discovered Strawberry Shortcake Goldfish and the girl loves them!! And yes, they are as good as they sound! Her favorite foods are raspberries, strawberries, kiwi, bananas, corn and obviously ice cream! She likes macaroni and cheese, broccoli cheese soup and bread. But really she'll eat anything you give to her!

-She has eight teeth and I'm 90% positive she's starting to teeth again. Yaaaaaay.... :(

I cannot wrap my head around the fact that she's a month away from turning O N E!!! I'm not ready for that! My baby will no longer be a baby, but a toddler! I love you my little Presley, you'll forever be my baby!
